Julie Morris serves as a Research Program Coordinator in Research and Grant Development
supporting faculty and students through management of various internal grant programs
including RISE: Research Initiative for Summer Engagement for USC's system campuses,
the Racial Justice and Equity Research Fund (RJERF), and SPARC (Support to Promote
Advancement of Research and Creativity) for graduate students. She also coordinates
and is point of contact for limited submissions, ResDev listserv inquires, and general
assistance as needed. Julie joined USC in 2000. With over 20 years of grant-related
experience, Julie has worked with faculty, staff, and students throughout the USC
system, first with the College of Pharmacy, followed by the College of Engineering
and Computing, and for 18 years with the Office of Undergraduate Research. Julie earned
her B.S. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology from Michigan State University and her M.S.
in Genetic Counseling from USC.
