OVC recognizes that federal, state, local, and tribal government and organizations must become better prepared and equipped to appropriately plan for, respond to, and fully support victims and communities affected by mass violence. The goal of this solicitation is to establish a Mass Violence Center.

USC may may apply to ONLY ONE of the following purpose areas in response to this solicitation (OVC will not consider applicants that apply for more than one purpose area this program announcement):

Purpose Area 1: Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training for Crime Victim Advocates Eligible applicants for this purpose area are limited to: nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations; and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education).

Purpose Area 2B - Training and Technical Assistance: Increasing Access to Victim Services for Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Who Have an SMI: Eligible applicants for this purpose area include institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education) and nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit organizations).

Purpose Area 3B - Training and Technical Assistance: Increasing Access to Mental Health Services to Traditionally Underserved Victims of Crime: Eligible applicants for this purpose area include institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education) and nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit organizations).

Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by July 13, 2017. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI.
