NSF: Big Data Regional Innovation Hubs: Establishing Spokes to Advance Big Data Applications (BD Spokes) NSF 17-546

NSF's Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) initiated the National Network of Big Data Regional Innovation Hubs (BD Hubs) program in FY 2015. Four BD Hubs – Midwest, Northeast, South, and West – were established... The first set of BD Spokes was funded in FY 2016. This solicitation calls for new BD Spoke proposals to be awarded in FY 2018. Collaborating with BD Hubs, each BD Spoke will focus on a particular topic that requires Big Data approaches and solutions. The set of activities managed by a BD Spoke will promote progress towards solutions in the chosen topic area...

USC may only submit ONE application in response to this solicitation. Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by August 14, 2017. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI.

NSF indicates that a Letter of Intent is NOT REQUIRED and a full proposal is due by September 18, 2017. For more information: https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2017/nsf17546/nsf17546.htm
