The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Family Assistance (OFA) is announcing the solicitation of applications for the competitive award of a cooperative agreement for a demonstration project that supports healthy marriage and relationship education and skills-based activities as authorized by the Claims Resolution Act of 2010 (Pub. L. 111-291).

The cooperative agreement awarded under this FOA will support the development, implementation, and management of a National Center for Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education (National Center). ACF will fund an organization with the capacity and demonstrated experience to serve as a national, web-based repository for healthy marriage and relationship education (HMRE) resources, and assist human services agencies interested in integrating HMRE into human services systems.

This cooperative agreement will provide 1-year of funding based on currently available funds. ACF intends to support the successful applicant through annual, non-competitive continuation applications for a 5-year period, subject to the appropriation of additional funds not contained in the current authorizing legislation (see Section II. Award Information, Non-Competitive Continuation for additional information).

USC may only submit one application in response to this program announcement. Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by June 9, 2015. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI.

HHS indicates that a letter of intent is NOT REQUIRED and a full proposal is due by July 7, 2015. For more information: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/grants/open/foa/files/HHS-2015-ACF-OFA-FH-0990_0.htm
