Steps:
Begin by navigating to the Milestone Template page.
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the Scroll Down arrow.
Step 2Click the Set Up Financials/Supply Chain menu.
Step 3Click the Product Related menu.
Step 4Click the Contracts menu.
Step 5Click the Templates menu.
Step 6Click the Milestone Templates menu.
Step 7Click the Add a New Value tab.
Step 8Click in the Milestone Template field.
Step 9Enter the desired information into the Milestone Template field.
Enter "SHIP1".
Step 10Click the Add button.
Step 11Use the Milestone Template page to define generic milestone templates.
When you set up a contract, you will use these generic milestones templates to which you can add contract-specific data.
Step 12Click in the Description field.
Step 13Enter the desired information into the Description field.
Enter "Product Shipped".
Step 14Use the Milestone Classification list to limit management abilities for a user. The users who are affected are those who are members of the permission list that is specified for the selected classification.
Step 15Click the Milestone Classification list.
Step 16Click the ALL list item.
Step 17Click the Milestone Conditions Template tab.
Step 18Use the Milestone Conditions Template page to define the conditions used by the application processor to determine if a milestone is ready for processing.
You can establish multiple conditions for a single milestone. Condition types can be either system-triggered events or manual events.
Step 19Click in the Description field.
Step 20Enter the desired information into the Description field.
Enter "Product Shipped".
Step 21Use the Milestone Condition Type list to set your condition. Your selection determines the actions that you need to complete when you add this milestone onto a contract. You can set up multiple milestone condition definitions for each milestone condition type.
Step 22Click the Milestone Condition Type list.
Step 23Valid selections are:
* Date: Select to create a date-driven milestone. When you use this milestone condition type on a contract, you associate it with a date specific to that contract. The milestone is triggered when the system date reaches the date that you have specified for the condition.
* Milestone: Select to link a milestone with another milestone. If selected, you must enter a Milestone Source and a Days Lag.
* SQL: Select to associate the milestone with a SQL statement you wrote. SQL milestones enable you to create custom milestones that are specific to your business.
* User Init: Select to create a milestone condition that is satisfied when a user manually updates the condition status from Pending to Ready. An example would be a service contract where billing cannot occur until a signed work order is received from the customer.
Step 24Click the User Initiated list item.
Step 25Click the Save button.
Step 26Use the Add button to add more milestone conditions.

Step 28Enter the desired information into the Milestone Template field.
