In PeopleSoft, accounting line information is called a ChartField String, which is a combination of identifying fields (called ChartFields) that replaced Department Fund Object Code combinations. Using USC's updated Chart of Accounts and Organizational Structure, a ChartField String can be used to define, identify, categorize, and sort a transaction.
