Chamber Innovista concert set for March 21
The University of South Carolina will present the third concert in the “Chamber Innovista” series at 3p.m. Sunday, March 21, in the School of Music recital hall.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.
Three performances are scheduled. “Sonatina for Brass Quintet (1951),” by Eugène Bozza, will feature James Ackley and John Bryant, trumpet; Robert Pruzin, (horn) Bradley Edwards, trombone and Ronald Davis, tuba. “Contrasts for Violin, Clarinet and Piano (1938),” by Béla Bartok, will feature William Terwilliger, violin; Joseph Eller, clarinet; and Lynn Kompass, piano. Flutist Jennifer Parker-Harley and the USC Percussion Ensemble, directed by Scott Herring, will be featured in “Suite en Concert for Flute and Percussion (1965),” by Andre Jolivet.
