Election 2012: Faculty panel discussion Oct. 29
As voters prepare to head to the polls on Election Day, University of South Carolina political science faculty will share their insights about this year’s presidential race in a public panel discussion Monday, Oct. 29.
The panel, set for 7 p.m. in Gambrell Hall auditorium, is free and open to the public.
Donald Fowler, an adjunct faculty member in the department of political science and S.C. Honors College, and a former chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party and National Democratic Party, will lead the panel discussion.
Panelists will include four scholars whose research focuses on different aspects of American politics. They are Charles Finocchiaro, U.S. Congress; Robert Oldendick, public opinion and polling; Todd Shaw, African-American politics and social movements; and Laura Woliver, interest groups and gender and politics.
