Russ Pate on USA TODAY live chat

Dr. Russ Pate, an Arnold School of Public Health exercise science professor and one of the world’s leading researchers on the link between physical activity and health, will be the featured expert on USA TODAY’s Live Chat at 1 p.m. (ET) Tuesday, June 14.

Pate’s appearance is part of USA TODAY’s Family Fitness Challenge series, which is calling attention and highlighting solutions to the problem of overweight and obese children and adults.

He will discuss how parents can get their children up and moving during the Live Chat. A past president of the American College of Sports Medicine, Pate led the development of the National Physical Activity Plan released last year.
