ABA president pays visit to law students
University of South Carolina law students got the opportunity Thursday (Aug. 19) to meet one of the nations’ top attorneys.
Stephen N. Zack, president of the American Bar Association, took time out of a busy schedule to talk with second- and third-year students. Zack, who represented Al Gore in his vote recount case after the 2000 Presidential election, was in Columbia to address the South Carolina Judicial Conference.
At USC, he was joined by University President Harris Pastides and Board Trustee William Hubbard (Law ’77). Tommy Preston Jr., USC law student and student representative to the ABA Board of Governors, coordinated the event.
