Description
For the most part, students are hard-working, courteous and well-behaved in class. Right? Occasionally, you may find yourself faced with a student whose behavior threatens to sidetrack or disrupt the course. For example, inappropriate use of laptop computers and hand-held communication devices in the classroom distracts both students and faculty. It is our job as instructors to establish the conditions for effective teaching and learning. This workshop will deal with teaching practices to avoid present or potential distractions in the classroom.
