Here are some helpful hints before you apply:
Please make sure you obtain a copy of your high school transcript that lists all of
your grades through your junior year of high school
before you begin the application. You will be asked to upload it to your admissions application.
A web-based copy of the transcript is fine, but please make sure it shows your name
and school name!
You will be asked to provide your college counselor’s name and email address. This
allows your counselor to fill out an optional counselor evaluation form on your behalf.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions accepts SAT, ACT, and NACAC application fee
waivers for South Carolina residents only.
Be Prepared for New Student Orientation
In order to help you be better prepared for your first semester at the University
of South Carolina, we have created a New Student Checklist. This checklist will tell
you which tasks you need to complete and which forms you need to submit to the university.
You can use the form before and after orientation to see if any items are still needed.
To find your personal New Student Checklist, go to
my.sc.edu or go to my.sc.edu/newstudent and click on “Checklist for Fall 2016 Freshmen” in the Newly Admitted Student section.
Once you have logged in with your VIP ID and password, you will be able to view what
items we’ve received and what is still outstanding.
