USC Connect

Student Advisory Council

By serving on a Student Advisory Council, students have opportunity to positively impact the learning environment at the University of South Carolina.  The councils are critical to USC Connect by promoting and providing feedback on USC Connect initiatives including experiential learning, integrative learning, and Graduation with Leadership Distinction.

Two councils provide student leadership:

  • USC Columbia Student Advisory Council
  • USC Palmetto College Student Council (representing Lancaster, Salkehatchie, Sumter, Union).

Students at USC Columbia may apply for Council membership each spring.  Contact us for further information.  The Columbia Student Council meets at least once each semester.

The Palmetto College Campuses Student Council is comprised of students that have demonstrated a strong interest in furthering Graduation with Leadership Distinction at their respective campus.  Students are recruited by GLD Advisors located on their campus or by contacting us for further information.
