Research and Teaching Interests
Jessica Chan, Ph.D. is interested in the academic outcomes of language-diverse children, specifically, how school-aged children with and without language-based disorders develop in literacy and mathematics. Dr. Chan is a postdoctoral research fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Suzanne Adlof in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Dr. Chan received her Ph.D. in Education at Queen's University at Kingston in the field of Language and Literacy Education, and she is currently supported by a postdoctoral fellowship from the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
