From varied degree options to robust experiential learning, our program of academics and training positions you well for the demanding career of professional pharmacy in a range of healthcare or research settings. Even better, your education is centered within Columbia, a vibrant university city where you can enjoy your downtime.

Choose from among eight programs of pharmacy education as you work toward a Pharm.D. or specialized dual degree that fits your future goals. As an incoming student, you’ll be paired with a first-year adviser who will assist with curriculum choices and prep you on your path toward the Pharm.D. program. Throughout your USC pharmacy school experience, you’ll supplement classroom instruction with engaging preceptor-led experiential learning and residencies that develop your analytic and patient care skills in health system or community pharmacy settings.

You’ll tap into a rich history of educating professional pharmacists. For more than 150 years, pharmacists have chosen the University of South Carolina for high-quality professional studies and the thoughtful advisement and mentoring we provide along the way. You’ll also have access to a wide variety of pre-pharmacy and professional student organizations that will help you begin to build your professional network as you build your patient care skills.
