Kayla Antosz, Pharm.D.

Kayla Antosz is originally from Irmo, S.C., and earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy- UofSC Campus in May 2019. Antosz completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Prisma Health - Richland and is excited for the opportunity to stay and continue her training in infectious diseases. Her professional interests include antimicrobial resistance, opportunistic infections, and antimicrobial stewardship. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her dog and family, enjoying the outdoors, and going to the lake.

Brandon Bookstaver is an associate professor and director of Residency & Fellowship Training in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences (CPOS) at the University South Carolina College of Pharmacy.  

He serves as an infectious diseases pharmacy specialist at Prisma Health - Richland Hospital, precepting pharmacy and medical trainees.  His research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, hospital-acquired infections and advancing trainee-related research. Read more ...

Celeste Caulder, Pharm.D.

Celeste Caulder is an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences (CPOS) at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and a clinical pharmacist at Prisma Health - Richland who specializes in medicine and infectious diseases.

Majdi Al-Hasan, PharmD

Majdi Al-Hasan, M.D.

Majdi Al-Hasan received his medical degree from the University of Jordan and joined the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2013 as an associate professor of Medicine and director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Prisma Health.

Al-Hasan has established himself as a prominent figure in the fields of bloodstream infections and antimicrobial agents through his clinical research on clinical therapeutics, antimicrobial resistance trends, epidemiology, outcome and management of Gram-negative bloodstream infections. Rob Daniels

Robert Daniels, Pharm.D.

Robert Daniels graduated with his Pharm.D. in 2005 from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. He trained at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2006. 

Daniels returned to South Carolina and Prisma Health Children’s Hospital where he was charged with implementing and directing the first pediatric antimicrobial stewardship program in the Carolinas. He also currently serves as chair of the Infectious Disease Drug Specialty Team at Prisma Health.

Caroline Derrick, Pharm.D.

Caroline Derrick graduated from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2013.  Upon graduation she completed a PGY-1 residency at Prisma Health - Richland and the Infectious Diseases PGY-2 residency through the UofSC College of Pharmacy / Prisma Health - Richland.

Derrick is a board-certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and her primary research interests include Amp-C producing organisms, Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Derrick practices at the UofSC Immunology Clinic.

Joey Kohn

Joseph Kohn, Pharm.D.

Joseph Kohn received a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 1991 and doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1995. Kohn completed a pharmacy practice residency at Prisma Health - Richland in Columbia, S.C., in 1996.

His practice includes Critical Care, as well as participating on the Antibiotic Stewardship and Support program at Prisma Health - Richland.

Julie Ann Justo is a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy.  She maintains a practice site in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship at Prisma Health - Richland.

Justo is a board-certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with added qualifications in infectious diseases. Her research interests include the clinical impact of antimicrobial stewardship programs, gram-negative infections, and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling. Read more ...

Bryan L. Love is an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy.

Love is a board-certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with added qualifications in infectious diseases. His research interests include viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer disease, and pharmacoepidemiology. Read more ...

Kamla Sanasi-Bhola, M.D.

Kamla Sanasi-Bhola joined the UofSC School of Medicine faculty in August 2014, board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Sanasi-Bhola is an assistant professor of Clinical Internal Medicine and associate program director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship training.

Her research interest includes HIV in women, quality improvement projects at the immunology center/PH, and bone and joint infections. Read more ...

Sharon Weissman joined the UofSC School of Internal Medicine Division in 2010, where she is currently program director for the Infectious Disease Medical Fellowship, professor of Clinical Internal Medicine, and division chief of Infectious Diseases.

Weissman graduated medical school from Columbia University in 1991. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of South Carolina, she was the director of HIV Services at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, CT. Read more ...

Hana Winders is an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and practices as an antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist with the Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative of South Carolina (ASC-SC).

Winders completed post-graduate residencies at Emory University Hospital and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Her primary research interests include antimicrobial stewardship outcomes and Gram-negative infections. Read more ...

Anna Kathryn Rye Burch, M.D.  

Anna-Kathryn Rye Burch is an academic pediatrician and associate professor at UofSC School of Medicine - Columbia. She is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases.

Burch's clinical special interests include bacterial infections and antibiotic resistance. She helped found the Prisma Health - Richland Children’s Hospital Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, which has helped save more than $300,000 yearly in antimicrobial cost avoidance. Read more ...

Divya Ahuja, M.D.

Divya Ahuja joined the UofSC School of Medicine Infectious Diseases Division in 2005. He currently is Associate Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine.

Ahuja graduated medical school in New Delhi, India in 1992, and completed parts of his residency in India and the United Kingdom before ending up at York Hospital in Pennsylvania from 2001-2003. He completed fellowships at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Plymouth Hospital in the U.K. and Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Helmut Albrecht, M.D.

Helmut Albrecht joined the UofSC School of Medicine Infectious Diseases Division in 2006, where he is currently the division director and Heyward Gibbes Distinguished Professor in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Albrecht graduated from medical school and completed his residency/gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Hamburg in 1988 and 1993, respectively. He also completed an additional residency and an infectious diseases fellowship at Emory University in 1999 and 2001. Read more ...

Laura Holden portrait

Laura Holden, Pharm.D.

Laura Holden received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina in 2005.  She joined Prisma Health in 2006 as a PGY1 pharmacy practice resident.

Holden is currently the manager for clinical pharmacy services on the Prisma Health - Richland campus with oversight of the antimicrobial stewardship program for the Prisma Health system.  She also is the director of the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Critical Care pharmacy residency programs.
