Pharm.D. / Ph.D.
You may transfer up to nine credit hours for graduate credit if you have prior graduate coursework. Normally, the average minimum length of time required to complete the master's degree is two years, and is five years for the Ph.D. degree.
All graduate students, in consultation with their major adviser and advisory committee, must develop an individualized program of study by the end of their third semester. An average grade of “B” or better is required in all courses within your program of study. Grades below “C” are considered as failure. You must also participate in the departmental seminar program (PHAR 712) every year during your tenure in the graduate program.
All graduate students specializing in pharmaceutics or medicinal chemistry who have not successfully completed physical chemistry (CHEM 541 and 542) requirements must do so during their first year of residence.
