Associate Dean for Academics

The Associate Dean for Academics is the chief academic officer, providing leadership in the strategic development and implementation of curricula that meet the needs of a diverse undergraduate and graduate student population and the demands of complex and changing nursing and healthcare systems. The College has 1550 students enrolled in pre-licensure BSN, RN-BSN, multiple master’s programs, DNP and PhD programs. The Academic Dean reports directly to the Dean of the College of Nursing.

Tenure-Track, Assistant or Associate Professor

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is seeking early and mid-career tenure-track faculty member with expertise in one of our three research cores: vulnerable populations, health promotion/risk reduction, cancer survivorship. A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required. Candidates are expected to have externally funded research grants, high potential for federal funding and PhD-level student teaching and mentorship.

Associate Professor or Professor-Director, Center for Nursing Leadership

The Director for the Center for Nursing Leadership oversees the four major activities of the Center to include: 1) state-wide action coalition/One Voice One Plan; 2) Amy V. Cockcroft Leadership program; 3) SC Office of Healthcare Workforce Research for Nursing; 4) Continuing Education Provider.

Endowed Research Chair

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is seeking an outstanding leader for the position of South Carolina SmartState Endowed Research Chair in Clinical Effectiveness at rank of Professor. The Endowed Chair will lead/expand development of clinical effectiveness and outcomes at the University.  The Endowed Chair position is part of an integrated state-wide SmartStateTM Center for Clinical Effectiveness and Patient Safety (www.smartstatesc.org).

Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor Undergraduate Psych and Psych-Mental Health NP Program

The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full-time faculty position. In addition to teaching, clinical practice and research/scholarship activities are expected. The faculty member would provide didactic instruction and clinical mentoring of undergraduate nursing students in mental health nursing courses and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) students in advanced practice nursing courses.

The College of Nursing has the Center for Cancer Survivorship and a solid research support infrastructure supported by the Associate Dean for Research.
