All-State Double Reed Workshop

Double reed players of all ages and abilities are invited to the biennial South Carolina Double Reed All-state Workshop at UofSC, led by oboe professor Rebecca Nagel and bassoon professor Michael Harley. You can experience a day of workshops and activities dedicated specifically to help oboe and bassoon students prepare for all-state auditions.

2020 South Carolina Virtual All-State Double Reed Workshop

Saturday, November 21, 2020
10:00 a.m.

Students may submit pre-made etude recordings for broadcast and comments during master classes by uploading them to YouTube (please select “unlisted”) and sending the link to Prof. Nagel or Harley by Friday, Nov. 20. Students are also welcome to play all-state etudes for comments and suggestions live during the classes.  For live online performances, a wired (ethernet) connection and external microphone are recommended for best results.


Registrants will be emailed specific YouTube and Zoom links in advance.  If you registered but have not received an email including these links by Friday, Nov. 20 at 5:00 p.m., please email Michael Harley.
