Linda Oldham is the director of corporate partner engagement in the Department of
Management Science at the Moore School. She received her Ph.D. in Continuing Education
and Human Resources from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to
joining the Moore School, she was the executive director of the Center for Business
Intelligence and Analytics in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, where
she cultivated industry relationships to provide support and capstone projects for
a graduate program that she helped develop in business analytics. She also garnered
corporate/organizational support for several analytics competitions and research projects.
Prior to that, she spent eight years at Georgia Tech and served as the executive director
for the Denning Technology & Management (T&M) Program in the Scheller College of Business.
This program offered students a minor in engineering and business and cross-trained
top students in engineering, business and computing. She managed the T&M Program activities
and solicited corporate support and sponsored capstone projects.
As director of corporate partner engagement, Oldham supports the efforts of the Operations and Supply Chain Center and the Center for Applied Business Analytics. She has extensive experience working with companies in the development, promotion and implementation of case competitions, capstone projects, data challenges and other experiential learning focused events. Her expertise is focused on developing high ROI partnerships between academia and corporations.
