Cindye Richburg Cotton is the business manager in the Department of Management Science in the Moore School. She received her MBA degree from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining the Moore School, she was the executive director for the Center for Professional and Continuing Education at Claflin University, where she was instrumental in developing and managing academic programs for online delivery and performed a wide variety of duties in support of the center's strategic goals and objectives. She was also widely recognized for developing corporate partnerships and articulation agreements between two-year technical colleges and four-year institutions. She spent 10 years at Morris College and served as the director of the Management-Institute Advance Program. This program offered students a major in organizational management and a minor in computer information systems. During this time, she generated one of the highest enrollment, graduation and retention rates among all programs at the college.
As business manager, Cotton supports the initiatives of the management science unit. She has extensive experience managing and leading administrative units and academic programs. Her expertise is focused on providing effective management in the department and ensuring strategic alignment with the school and the university.
