Graduate admission for international students is a two-step process.
- The graduate degree program reviews your application and recommends your application for admission. The Graduate School is then notified of the recommendation.
- The Graduate School will then formally admit you after reviewing your application and supporting documents. International Student Services is notified and will contact you for any missing forms which are required for your immigration document. You may submit the forms at any time during the application process.
TOEFL/IELTS Exam Scores
International students must submit a valid TOEFL or IELTS exam score as part of their application unless they have earned an undergraduate degree at an institution within the United States while spending at least three years on campus in the United States. Exam scores must be no more than two years old.
Check specific masters program information for TOEFL and IELTS exam score requirements.
At our discretion, we may require an interview (in person or via Skype) to ascertain the English-speaking skills of an international student.
International students should allow adequate time for the processing of immigration and visa documents prior to the beginning of orientation. We recommend applying about 30-45 days prior to the suggested deadlines.
