Student Council for Diversity and Inclusion

The Student Council on Diversity and Inclusion is a diverse, representative and knowledgeable group of self-selected students. It ensures that goals for diversity and inclusion are fully achieved, valued and cherished at the Moore School. Please contact one of the committee members with any diversity-related questions or concerns.

Council Members

Janae Bowman

Janae is a sophomore accounting major and retailing minor. She is from a small town near Charleston called Adams Run. She is also a member of Sigma Omega Upsilon International Business Fraternity, the Association of African American students and the Capstone Service Team. Janae loves to spend weekends shopping and spending time with her friends, and wanted to join the Diversity and Inclusion Council in order to help build a stronger community amongst the minorities in the Moore School.

Logan Hutto

Logan is a senior from Barnwell, South Carolina, who is majoring in biological sciences with a minor in Spanish. He plans to go to graduate school after graduation to pursue a degree in molecular biology. Logan enjoys traveling, aviation, and writing. He is a part of the council to help create an environment of diversity and free expression on campus.

Bradley Kinzel

Bradley is in his second year of pursing a master’s degree in economics. While he is originally from Ohio, he made Pennsylvania his home before moving to Columbia for his undergraduate degree at South Carolina. In his free time, Bradley enjoys cooking great meals and baking any kind of sweet treat. Within the council, he hopes to organize events in order to promote a large outreach for diversity and inclusion.

Ashley Labrie

Ashley is a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a international business and management double major with minors in Portuguese and dance. She loves being a part of the diversity and inclusion council because it gives a voice to underrepresented populations in the business school.

Christian Rodriguez

Christian is a senior economics major. His birthplace is La Ceiba, Honduras and he immigrated to Bluffton, South Carolina, at the age of five. Christian comes from a big family and enjoys anything sports, both as a spectator and a player.

LaMonika Wall

LaMonika is currently a junior undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina. She is a biology major on a pre-medical track and plans to attend medical school after she graduates. She transferred to South Carolina in spring 2018 from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She is also a member of the Cru campus ministry and the TriBeta (Beta Beta Beta) Biological Honor.

Jasmine White

Jasmine is a senior accounting major. Although she loves her hometown of Summerville, South Carolina, Jasmine has plans to pursue a career as a public accountant in Metro D.C. She is a member of the Theta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and sits on the executive board for Women LEAD. In her free time, Jasmine enjoys reading, shopping and running. She joined the council to raise awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion, and to help create a more inclusive environment within the Moore School. As the director of marketing, she hopes encourage more students to attend the events, share their experiences and connect with peers.
