Why We Chose this Recipient:
Many Greenville physicians are involved with the Greenville Free Medical Clinic from the start of their residencies through their careers as attending physicians, and giving back to the community has been a central tenet of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville since its inception in 2012.
Student volunteers at the clinic help monitor patient vital signs, check in patients and work on various administrative jobs that help keep the clinic running smoothly. Residents and attending physicians volunteer hours of their precious time to work with patients to build a healthier Greenville community.
The clinic is near and dear to us and because of its integral role in helping to meet the Greenville community’s medical needs, the clinic is a worthy recipient of our fundraising efforts.
