Our Beneficiary

The Student Catalyst Fund promotes the growth of physician leaders right here in the Upstate. It is our goal that every student who wishes to participate in research or national leadership will not be hindered due to lack of funds, whether their interest is within the traditional research pipeline arena, "from bench to bedside," the growing disciplines of lifestyle medicine, high value care/health-delivery science, or the many other avenues where physician leaders can make a difference. Through unique partnerships with Prisma Health, UofSC scientists and clinicians, and other academic partners, we can provide students with avenues in research and learning not found anywhere else in the country. Our primary goals remain to ignite inquiry, develop change leaders, and contribute to discoveries for a healthier South Carolina and the nation.

Goals of the Fund:
  • Sponsor student experience including research projects and national leadership opportunities.
  • Develop internship opportunities in innovation and health policy.
  • Provide funding to ensure student participation in research or leadership opportunities in growing disciplines of lifestyle medicine, high value care, and health delivery science.
  • Ignite inquiry, develop change leaders, and contribute to discoveries for a healthier South Carolina and the nation.
We Invite you:

Partner with us to help build the lasting legacy of future physicians of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. In 2019, our medical students hosted the inaugural Gown and Glove Gala, raising over $9,700 for the Greenville Free Medical Clinic and medical student scholarships. With your help, we can ensure that students have the resources they need to expand their knowledge and education beyond the classroom and hospital.

In becoming our partner, our promise to you is this: University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville will continue to develop the best physicians to move South Carolina and the nation toward a healthier future. We will succeed in this through innovative education, aspirational research, and dedication to better health for all.
