The Association of American Medical Colleges reports that the number of primary care and specialty physicians will significantly decrease by 2023. Research suggests that this reduction is triggered in part by racial minority students’ unequal access to resources for successful academic preparation and MCAT testing.
The PreMed Partners Pathway (P3) program is designed to reduce care and provider disparities and help bright, underserved students like you from participating South Carolina colleges and universities successfully enter the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville.
Through this program, you will pair with a mentor for formal guidance and informal counsel, participate in summer research experiences and educational programs and gain access to test preparation resources. You can play an integral role in building a more inclusive and diverse physician workforce in South Carolina — and improve health outcomes for our state.
