The 2nd Annual Palmetto State Classic Mock Trial Competition
October 19–21, 2018
The Palmetto State Classic Mock Trial Competition brings in 8–12 of the top mock trial programs from around the southeast for a weekend long mock trial competition to determine a champion. Each year we host schools from South Carolina, North, Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida to try their case over a three day period.
The competition is hosted by the Mock Trial Bar and is judged by dozens of alumni and local attorneys. The final round is presided over by a local state or federal judge. This year, the final round will be presided over by The Honorable Justice George C. James of the South Carolina Supreme Court.
This year the School of Law is proud to host the following schools vying for the title:
- John Marshall
- South Carolina
- 2017 — Emory
