The College of HRSM has a robust visiting scholar program that provides opportunities for research, joint teaching, database accessibility, office space and summer housing at our Columbia, South Carolina campus. The University of South Carolina international offices provide exchange-based immigration services as needed.
Goals of the program:
- Collaboration with an HRSM faculty member in research and publication
- Contribution to HRSM guest lecture series
- Enhancement between visitor’s home institution and USC
- Future research or data collection

In addition to the Visiting Scholar Program, the College of HRSM offers several opportunities for undergraduate and graduate international collaboration. These include student exchange programs, study abroad, dual-degrees, pipeline programs and summer academies. Beginning in Spring 2023, The College of HRSM will be piloting an international student internship program. The purpose of this program is to supply international students with coursework, a paid internship and a cultural experience here in South Carolina. Students will gain many benefits including academic credit, English language skills, networking opportunities, academic training and professional experience.
