Fang Meng selected to serve on WTCF Expert Committee

Dr. Fang Meng of the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management (HRTM) was recently selected to serve on the Expert Committee of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF).

Meng’s expertise focuses on destination marketing and management and international tourism, making her a logical choice to serve on this international tourism organization committee. She will serve on this 15-member committee for a period of five years.

"It is a great honor to serve on the Expert Committee of World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF),” said Meng. "I will work closely with other scholars/experts in the committee to conduct research projects of the WTCF and help promote the development of global tourism cities via academic research activities. The committee has been working on a ‘World Tourism Cities Evaluation System’ project for the WTCF."

Meng was invited to attend the Beijing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit of World Tourism Cities 2013 & Second Meeting of the WTCF Council, and was invited to host the Forum of WTCF Tourism-Related Businesses.

The World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) promotes the development of global tourism cities via academic research activities and to develop a worldwide evaluation system for city tourism. More information can be found at:
