Thursday Dinners

Allow us to pamper you with a four-course dinner. These gourmet meals are served most Thursday nights during the fall and spring semesters.

Reservations are made by registering for the meals below. Four seating times are available: 6:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. You will be asked to indicate your seating time preference when you make your reservation.*

*We appreciate your promptness at your seating time as there are limited seats available for each time slot.

Because of the academic requirements of the students to complete assignments, dining conclusion is 8:30 p.m.

All meals are $28.00 per person unless otherwise noted.

Refunds are available for cancellations if made by 6 p.m. the day of dinner.

Reservations and payments are made online in advance. 

October 25

To start

  • Onion tart: A duo of an onion tart alongside a Bavarian pretzel with whole grain mustard.

Salad

Please select one:

  • Cucumber and onion: Cucumber, fresh dill and red onion tossed in a sweet and tart vinaigrette.
  • McCutchen House: Iceberg and romaine lettuces mixed with a kale, sprout, and cabbage blend and topped with heirloom cherry tomatoes, diced English cucumbers, red onion, toasted sunflower seeds and shredded Gouda. Served with our house made red wine vinaigrette.

Entrée

Please select one

  • Weiner schnitzel: Tender veal cutlet breaded and fried, topped with crispy peppered bacon and caramelized onion. Served over spaetzel with braised cabbage.
  • Choucroute: Pork loin, knackwurst, slab bacon, and pork shoulder are covered and braised with sauerkraut, Riesling wine, and carroway seed.
  • Sauerbraten: Beef bottom round marinated for three days and slowly roasted for hours. Served with braised cabbage and new potatoes.

Dessert

  • German chocolate cake: Moist chocolate cake finished with a pecan and toasted coconut topping.
  • Warm bread pudding a la Epworth's: Epworth Children's Home creates delicious peanut butter ice cream. We serve it atop our old-fashioned warm vanilla bread pudding.

  • McCutchen House: Iceberg and romaine lettuces mixed with a kale, sprout, and cabbage blend and topped with heirloom cherry tomatoes, diced English cucumbers, red onion, toasted sunflower seeds and shredded Gouda. Served with our house made red wine vinaigrette.

Entrée

  • Filet Oscar: A petite filet mignon grilled to your preference and topped with lump crab, asparagus, and hollandaise. Served atop wild rice.
  • Mahi-Mahi: Seared mahi-mahi topped with a fresh mango pico de gallo accompanied with wild rice and asparagus.
  • Duck: Seared duck breast finished with a cherry demi-glace and served with salt-roasted fingerling potatoes atop beer-braised mustard greens.

  • Kansas City strip: A bone-in, center-cut strip loin grilled to your preference and served with a parsley lemon mâitré d' butter. Accompanied by a cheddar twice-baked potato and broccolini.
  • Grouper: A delicate grouper fillet is seared and roasted atop a tomato and lima bean succotash. Topped with wilted spinach parmesan.
  • Veal: Veal cutlets with a cornbread stuffing, seared and braised in a cremini mushroom, stroganoff-style sauce. Served over egg noodles with broccolini.

  • Hunter’s stew: Venison braised in a brown sauce with parsnips, celery, potatoes, and onion.
