***Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors only***The goal of this course is to present entrepreneurship focused on the context of health care, in both theoretical and practical terms. Students from multiple disciplines (e.g., nursing, engineering, business) will explore entrepreneurship by examining how opportunities are discovered, the conditions of markets and industries that must be weighed in choosing to enter them, and the resources needed by the entrepreneur to establish a new venture and build it into a successful enterprise. Using interdisciplinary team projects, students will then apply these theoretical perspectives to actual health care examples to enhance practical understanding of entrepreneurship.
