Engagement with your experience coordinator is designed to support you throughout your entire time at the university. Beginning in your first year in the Honors College, there are several opportunities to meet with them. While some are required and some are encouraged, we hope you can use these meetings to reflect and explore opportunities.

Theme: Foundation and Transition
Focus: Awareness, belonging and navigation
Required: One coordinator connect
Strongly encouraged: One additional interaction with your experience coordinator
You are required to complete one coordinator connect with your assigned experience coordinator during your first-year in the Honors College. You are also strongly encouraged to have at least one additional interaction with them, which can be any of the following:
- Drop-in session
- Honors POP Series event
- Supplemental meeting
- Group learning session or other SEP events/sessions
Things you may want to discuss:
- Navigating a new environment
- Understanding your Honors experience
- Building confidence
- Creating connections
- Knowing where to turn
Theme: Engagement and Growth
Focus: Exploration and involvement
Required: One coordinator connect
Strongly encouraged: One additional interaction with your experience coordinator
You are required to complete one coordinator connect with your assigned experience coordinator during your sophomore year. You are also strongly encouraged to have at least one additional interaction with them, which can be any of the following:
- Drop-in session
- Honors POP Series event
- Supplemental meeting
- Group learning session or other SEP events/sessions
Things you may want to discuss:
- Purposeful involvement on campus
- Discovering passions
- Building connections
- Active community involvement
- Growth through experiences
Theme: Integration and Professional Development
Focus: Application and positioning
Required: One interaction with your experience coordinator
Strongly encouraged: Additional engagement with the SEP throughout the academic year
You are required to touch base with your assigned experience coordinator at least once during your junior year. Approved options for touching base include:
- Coordinator coonect
- Drop-in session
- Honors POP Series event
- Supplemental meeting
- Group learning session or other SEP events/sessions

- Stepping into leadership roles
- Making meaning of your experiences
- Connecting experiences to future goals
- Stretching beyond your comfort zone
- Making the most of your senior year

Focus: Celebration and next steps
Required: None
Strongly encouraged: Staying connected with your experience coordinator and the Student Experience Program
There is no required SEP touchpoint during your senior year. However, you are strongly encouraged to stay connected through coordinator connects, Honors POP Series events, drop-in sessions or other opportunities are you prepare for graduation and what comes next.
