Abbey Smith is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as a proud South Carolina Honors College alumna. (Fun fact: She met her husband when they shared a hall in the Honors dorm!) After graduating from UofSC with a B.A. in English, Abbey completed a Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of New Orleans.

Abbey has always enjoyed helping students achieve their goals. She worked in student support as both an undergraduate and a graduate student and spent several years as a high school teacher before returning to higher ed. In her free time, Abbey enjoys knitting, riding horses and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
