Kendall joined our team after living and working for three years in Poland. Formerly a Fulbright grantee to Bydgoszcz, she taught English conversation and writing at Uniwersytet Kazimierza Wielkiego, helped edit English press releases for the 2018 Camerimage International Film Festival in Bydgoszcz, and led an English/Polish translation of her students’ creative works for her alma mater’s literary magazine. Later in 2019, she moved to Warsaw to teach students of over 30 different nationalities at an international school and helped facilitate workshops with the American Corners, a partnership organization with the U.S. Embassy, that supports cross cultural exchange between the U.S. and Poland. In her free time, she was part of a dramaturgy workshop where artists from different cultural backgrounds collaborated on writing and creating a public performance for World Refugee Day with Teatr Powszechny called “Woda jest bardzo zimna, ale nie mogę zostać na brzegu//The water is very cold but I cannot stay on the shore.”

As someone who graduated as a Christ College scholar (an interdisciplinary honors curriculum) with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Valparaiso University, Kendall has appreciated the formative role the honors curriculum has played in her life and the meaningful process of applying for major fellowships. She is looking forward to helping students find how different fellowships can help bring different parts of their experiences together and lead them to exciting new chapters in their lives.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
