High Temperature Electrochemical Materials and Energy Lab

Understanding fundamentals of electrochemical materials and devices towards highly efficient & stable energy conversion and storage.

About Us

Welcome to High Temperature Electrochemical Materials and Energy Lab. We are interested in synthesizing high temperature electrochemical energy materials typically advanced functional ceramics and understanding electrochemical process related properties of materials, such as catalytic activity, electrochemical catalytic activity, charge and species transport at different scales.

Xue Ceramics Group include developing strategies to fabricate electrochemical energy conversion devices with desired micro/nano structures and upscale devices to modules. Particular applications include solid oxide fuel cells, solid oxide electrolysis cells, and gas separation membranes.

Our interests also include educating and training next generation scientist and engineers for their future careers. The group members from our lab have found jobs with faculty positions in Universities, research scientist positions in national labs, and research engineer positions in industries.
