Facilities

The Engineering and Computing Capston Design (ECCD) Innovation Center will be a newly renovated space dedicated to the work of Capstone Design projects. This 30,000 sq. ft. building will ultimately consist of three floors, which will include project stations, dedicated and secure project rooms and storage, a computer lab for projects and study, and a lecture hall for classes, poster sessions and guest speakers. Construction will begin in the fall of 2017 and will take place in three phases, over three years.

USC's Innovation Center - Under Construction

The new Innovation Center will eliminate the separation of Capstone Design groups spread across multiple facilities including 300 Main Street, 1200 Catawba Street, and the Swearingen Engineering Center. Bringing the various student engineer disciplines together will empower the team's commitment to sponsor’s projects, and include outstanding solutions for project challenges, which can be utilized by the sponsor.

The Innovation Center will be filled with spaces named after industry projects and life-long sponsors of USC’s Engineering and Computing Capstone Design success. For more information about becoming a sponsor for the Innovation Center, please contact Dr. Abdel Bayoumi, Associate Dean, at bayoumi@sc.edu or call 803-777-1845.
