Focus Areas

Research at the USC College of Engineering and Computing is focused on four priority interdisciplinary research areas. This research is driven by challenges in our community, state, country and world that will require significant advances in technology and engineering.

A Cohesive Approach

Our faculty is working with professionals from other disciplines on campus, from business to public health, to ensure the research is conducted with an understanding of various social, economic, policy and legal issues.

Research centers and labs are developing around the interdisciplinary research areas in response to federal funding and other initiatives.

Plus, industry collaboration continues to grow as our researchers and outside experts from private and public companies work together to create and improve technologies.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
