E-Week Open House
Save the date! The University of South Carolina’s College of Engineering and Computing will host the annual "Engineers Week Open House" on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 10am-1pm.
Last year's event was the college's largest open house yet--with 1,400 people in attendance.
The National Engineers Week Foundation and the College of Engineering and Computing work together to attract children and teenagers to engineering and computer science fields. Open house is an opportunity for kindergarten through 12th grade students to experience how interesting and exciting engineering and computer science can be. With over 40 interactive exhibits that highlight the college's academic programs and research, students will have all of their engineering and computing questions answered as they dive deeper into different activities. With over 30 different activities and exhibits, the most popular experiences at this year’s open house will be a cornstarch pool, Scrumptious Science - Making Ice Cream, an array of Tesla vehicles, Edible Landfills, and new this year - Tours of the McNair Center for Aerospace Research.
