Call for Papers

Technical papers are solicited on all aspects of combustion including

  • Combustion Diagnostics;
  • Reaction Kinetics;
  • Fire Research;
  • Heterogenous Combustion/Spray and Droplets
  • Applied Combustion, including IC and GT Engines;
  • Laminar Flames;
  • Turbulent Flames;
  • Alternative Fuels and Emissions;
  • Novel Combustion Techniques;

Papers may cover a broad range of focus, from fundamental combustion phenomena to practical applications of combustion technology. Papers from industrial organizations are strongly encouraged. Please note that presentation of a paper at this meeting does not constitute archival publication.

Abstract/Paper Submissions

Prospective authors should submit an abstract of 150 to 300 words online at the Combustion Institute website by January 15, 2020. Decisions on acceptance will be transmitted to the authors by January 17, 2020 by the ESSCI Program Chair, Dr. Paul Papas. Full papers of at least 5 pages in length are to be submitted electronically and will be distributed to all registrants. Presentation of papers is contingent upon having an electronic copy of the accepted paper received by February 3, 2020.

Prospective authors should submit your paper/extended abstract (in PDF format) online at the Combustion Institute website by February 3, 2020. Under the “Submissions” section, click on the “Edit” link next to your abstract title. An “Upload” button can be found near the top of the page.

Registration Fees

The fee for early-bird registration is $300 (members of the Combustion Institute), $400 (non-members), $150 (student members with suitable identification), $175 (student non-members). The early-bird registration deadline is February 10, 2020 after which the fees are $375/$475/$175/$200. Registration includes access to conference proceedings, refreshment breaks, and a reception on the evening of March 10, 2020.
