Research
Professor Tang's research interests include computational biology and bioinformatics, machine learning and big data analysis, algorithm development and high performance computing, as well as computer gaming and scientific simulation. Dr. Tang has published more than 120 papers in peer-reviewed conferences and journals and has been supported by grant from NSF, NIH, NEH and Naval Office of Research. In the past years, he has graduated 14 Ph.D. students, most are now in world-class companies and four are in tenured or tenure track position in research universities.
