Title: Adjunct Professor
Department: Physical Activities Program
College of Education

Sheli has over 35 of years of equestrian experience.  She started riding at the age of 9 at a schooling barn in Northern Ohio.  She began showing on the Quarter Horse circuit with the love of her life, Joe's Bar Dancer in the late 1980s.  Together they won countless ribbons, high points, and awards in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and Jumpers.  Sheli started her Arabian career showing her stallion Sir Windsor Dawn in the Halter division, while working as an assistant trainer at Eppich Arabians.  Here she gained experience with all aspects of horse care and training pertinent to the Arabian world from grooming, halter breaking, conditioning for halter, showing, breeding, and starting and competing the show horses.  Sheli won reserve champion at the Toledo Futurity in Hunter Under Saddle on the three year old gelding she had trained from start to showing.  Sheli moved her talents to Magical Farms, where she became Head Trainer.  She has  trained multiple breeds in all disciplines.  After exposure to so many disciplines, Sheli realized her heart went to the Hunter/Jumper world and decided to venture out on her own.  She started Country Rose Stables, taking multiple students up the ranks to the "A" Circuit in the Hunter/Jumper world.  In 2007, Sheli was beckoned by the warm breezes of the South and the relocation of her family to Gilbert, SC to open The Carolina Ridge Equestrian Center.
