After more than 14 years of teaching, Chastity Graham recently joined the staff of the College of Education as the Clinical Placement Coordinator and University Supervisor for Palmetto College. Graham began her teaching career in Charleston County School District as a middle level science teacher. Since this time, she has taught in Richland School District Two at E.L. Wright Middle School for 11 years and most recently in Richland School District One at Hand Middle School for one year. While working as a classroom teacher, Graham served in various roles related to leadership and mentoring. Some of these roles included serving as a Middle School Science Liaison and Department Chair, serving as a member of the Richland District Two Superintendent's Faculty Advisory Council and Design Team, and working as a member of the Hand Middle School SIC Committee. In each of these roles, Graham helped with planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating both school and district wide programs.
As an educator, Graham is very passionate about mentoring! She has worked to train and supervise undergraduate students in the field of education. Moreover, she served as a mentor teacher for new teachers and as a veteran teacher of observation for the Teacher Cadet program in Richland School District Two.
Graham attended college at The University of South Carolina, receiving a Master of Education in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
