Latin American, Caribbean, and US Latinx Studies Minor

The Latin American, Caribbean, and US Latinx Studies minor introduces you to the Latin American communities, literature, cultures, politics and economics of the Americas. You’ll also explore the ethnic, linguistic and religious backgrounds of the 650 million people who call the region home.

Course Description: Comparative examination of conquest, colonization, and human captivity in the history, cultural values, and social ethics of European, African, and Indigenous civilizations in the Americas, 1441-1888.
