McMaster Gallery hosted the 70th Annual Juried Student Exhibition from February 19 to March 21, 2025, a cherished tradition that originated in 1955. Showcasing the exceptional talent within the School of Visual Art and Design (SVAD), the exhibition presents a diverse array of artwork spanning various mediums, including painting, sculpture, animation, printmaking, ceramics, photography, graphic design, and drawing. Works were selected for display by external juror Michael Cassidy, a visual artist known for his meticulous paintings of flora and fauna. Since 2015, Cassidy has worked as an Exhibits Master Craftsman at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia. Cassidy received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina in 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
