Time to Completion

Students coming into the program with Master’s degrees can petition the program for a full or partial course waiver. For each course requested for potential waiver, students need to submit the syllabus and other appropriate documentation of knowledge (for example, papers) to the current instructor of the course. The instructor meets with the student to determine whether the student has a minimum level of achievement for relevant Discipline Specific Knowledge and Profession Wide Competencies. For partial waiver decisions, assignments may be made to the student. If these requirements are met, the waiver is granted. The program director reviews and signs off on documentation of competencies and waiver requirements.
