What happens if I call?
Many people who are struggling with problems in their lives may feel nervous or scared to call for help. It is normal for people to feel this way when calling, but calling is the first step for getting help. When you call, PSC staff will ask you for your contact information and will schedule you for an intake appointment which will be conducted over the phone.
How long does it take to be seen by a therapist?
The waitlist for our services is highly variable. PSC staff may be able to provide a better estimate of time it takes for services when you call.
What happens at the first therapy session?
Although the first session varies from person to person, therapists tend to use the time to learn more about you and your goals for future meetings. Therapists may also discuss your concerns about seeking help as well as work with you to overcome obstacles that might prevent your from attending appointments. What is the cost of your services?
We offer services on a sliding scale based on information we gather from you regarding your income and family circumstances. We do not take health insurance.
Will you share my information with anyone?
Client records and other information are managed by the center with the strictest confidentiality. No information will be transmitted to any other individual or agency without express permission of the client, except as required by law.
