Ariel entered the Clinical-Community PhD program in 2016. She previously studied biological anthropology at Temple University, graduating with honors. She subsequently received a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in anthropology. Within the department she works with Abe Wandersman. Specific projects include refining a readiness measure for program implementation, investigating the integration of primary care and behavioral health in community practices, and technical assistance for state-wide fatherhood initiatives.

She thrives on travel, nature, and social justice.
