The College of Arts and Sciences Enrollment Management team oversees student enrollments each semester in all CAS courses. This includes monitoring enrollment in courses and coordinating with departments to open new sections and close sections with low enrollment. We also coordinate with academic units to request additional class seats and courses when a need has been identified by advisors from within CAS’s academic units, other USC colleges and the University Advising Center. The team also provides reports to academic units on enrolled majors and minors and end-of-semester comparison reports.
Enrollment Management is critical for ensuring that courses are offered in an efficient
manner and meet student needs. All courses are reviewed each semester to ensure that
student demand is met, courses are scheduled to reduce common course conflicts, and
that minimum enrollments are satisfied.
