In an effort to increase access to diversity training resources on campus, the College of Arts and Sciences has launched a Diversity and Inclusion Academy for faculty and staff in the College.
The College of Arts and Sciences is now offering two programs to support the professional development of tenure-track and tenured faculty in the College: Junior Faculty Development Program and Mid-Career Faculty Development Program.
The College of Arts and Sciences is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming campus culture through our “Kindness Campaign”. For the past two years, during Diversity Week, we have engaged in acts of kindness, while promoting the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
Chews Kindness was hosted during campus-wide "Diversity Week" celebrations. The College of Arts and Sciences Diversity Committee gave away free cookies to encourage everyone to Chews Kindness. Participants were invited to "Grab a sweet treat and be kind to everyone you meet."
Donuts for Diversity was hosted during campus-wide “Diversity Week” celebrations. Participants were invited to share what makes them unique on notes collected by the Diversity Committee.
