RCON 880 - Counseling Practicum in Clinical Rehabilitation

Class Session: Thursday, August 23, 2018 - Friday, December 07, 2018

Credit: 3 semester hours of graduate credit

Prerequisites: Consent of instructor. Official application must be submitted at least one month before the end of the semester preceding enrollment. co-requisite: 150 hourse of supervised counseling experience in an approved clinical setting. Restricted to: Degree seeking students

Course Description

Supervised counseling experience in an approved institution or agency.


General Information

Course will be delivered by Web conferencing utilizing Adobe Connect. Course will also utilize Blackboard. All Students must be present, either in person or online, for the class sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Students may attend classes in Medical Park 15 room B17; all other students will view classes via the Internet. For students viewing the class live online, the Adobe Connect URL will be posted in Blackboard by the instructor prior to the first class meeting. To facilitate in-class communication when using Adobe Connect, all on-line students will be required to have a working microphone.


On-Campus Sessions/Orientation Information

Students enrolled in Rehabilitation classes are required to attend in-person session(s) on Distance Education Weekend in Fall and Spring semesters and other lab time as designated by the professor. MRC students are required to attend the Annual Student Meeting Day in August.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

Special Fee Notification

Students may be required to be proctored during online test completion. If students are unable to attend test proctoring sessions in person at the Distributed Learning office, additional fees may apply for online test proctoring if the course requires online testing.
