RHAB 713 - Career Development and Counseling in Rehabilitation

Course Description

Career development theories and their relevance to persons with disabilities. Identification of values, interests, abilities, and methods for obtaining, organizing, and utilizing career information to enable career success.


General Information

Course will be delivered by web conferencing utilizing Adobe Connect and Blackboard. To facilitate in-class communication when using Adobe Connect, all on-line students will be required to have a working microphone. All students must be present, either in person or online, for the class sessions on Tuesdays,7:30 - 10:00 pm. Students may attend classes in Medical Park 15; all other students may view classes via the internet. For students viewing the class live online, the Adobe Connect URL will be posted in Blackboard by the instructor prior to the first class meeting. More information will be provided by he instructor in the course syllabus.


On-Campus Sessions/Orientation Information

Students enrolled in Rehabilitation classes are required to attend in-person session(s) on Distance Education Weekend in Fall and Spring semesters and other lab time as designated by the professor. MRC students are required to attend the Annual Student Meeting Day in August.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

Special Fee Notification

Students may be required to be proctored during online test completion. If students are unable to attend test proctoring sessions in person at the Distributed Learning office, additional fees may apply for online test proctoring if the course requires online testing.
